The HEALTHYACCESS project aims to create a hygienic, touchless screening process. The initiative brings together industry-leading face-recognition technologies, infrared thermal imaging sensors, detection technology for vital signs like heart rate and respiration levels, and artificial intelligence to process the data. This combination pairs identity verification with health signs collected without any contact.
The project is led by Invixium in partnership with Invent Canada, MARA Technologies and Manawa.
Scanning units will be located in critical entry and exit points for workplaces, airport and seaport boarding gates, border crossings, stadiums and theme parks. Using face recognition, it will determine who can or cannot enter a location. As well, HEALTHYACCESS will be able to flag people with potential diseases and trigger a response line preventing the entrance from opening or directing them to a health station for further screening of vitals such as oxygen levels, heartbeat and blood sugar levels, all potential indicators of a contagious disease.
